Edit Weapons in the Database

You can edit individual weapons in the currently loaded database. This can be useful if you wish to alter the rate of fire or magnification of sights for scenarios that shipped with BCT: Brigade Combat Team or other BCT products.

Select the Edit function from the Weapon menu.
Now select the weapon that you wish to edit.
You will be presented with the Weapon Dialog, which will allow you to edit the weapon that you selected.

The Weapon Edit Dialog allows you to edit information about a weapon system from the database.

• Name of the weapon
  

• Penetration. This value is used by the Construction Set to rank order weapons. In this way, they are saved in order from least to most lethal. This assists the BCT weapon selection AI in making more rapid and intelligent decisions. The value is 1-10.
  
• Time to fire the weapon in seconds. This time includes loading time, acquisition time, tracking time, and many other factors.
  
• Rounds expended every time the weapon is fired.
  
• Magnification of sight. This effects how easy it is for the weapon to engage distant targets.
  
• The maximum range at which a weapon can engage a target (in 10's of meters).
